Herbert Jacob and his team did it again….STI Euro Open was a success nice weather, good props and interesting BIG stages. If you weren’t there you just missed the best match of the year….until now!

Hage, Peter, Even, Tine and I were on the STI Super squad and we also had the pleasure to shoot with the winner of PD Paolo Brocanelli. Paolo shoot a very nice match and he never missed a target and didn’t make any big mistakes. His was like a machine no errors and very precise….a worthy winner of one of Europe biggest matches.

Personal I had a terrible 1 day with 2 misses, low score and slow time. It was my mental game that played with me, but I never gave up and on the 2 day I shoot quite good and that gave bonus. After the 1 day I realized that I couldn’t win the match, but I kept fighting and remember that the match is not finished before the last shot. I shot 81% A´s and finished 4th with 94,36% and that’s okay when you se the top 10 with shooters from 8 counties….But its always a shame to be no. 4 because the price giving at STI is a great fun…..next time!

The STI Team had a terrible match and they were troubled with malfunction guns and that cost the STI Team a lot of points. You could se it at the price giving…. Eric Grauffel won with 12% with Saul on second place in Open Division, Oliver Damm won the Standard Division and Ralf came 3rd 7,5% after (with a borrowed gun – his gun broke down some days before the match) Gregory was sick and his gun broke down at the last stage and he lost 155 points…..so you could say that it was a STI break down… (Not Spring Break) Hopefully they will get some new equipment so they can win again!

The match was a good indicator for the European Championship despite of Adam Tyc and some other good PD shooters from Italy, Spain and Czech Republic were missing at the match. The European will be a very though competition, but I still believe in my goal of ending in top 10….

My next match will be the Nordic Championship in PD in Norway (Kongsvinger). Ups….I didn’t had the time to make a match report from Cops Cup in Gothenburg, but it was a good competition for me even though my gun malfunction at the last stage. It probably cost me the 1st place….but who knows and who cares….! I was very satisfied with my result because I shot a clean match and I beat some of the best shooters in Sweden and Norway. I am looking forward to the Nordic Championship….I will do my very best!

Congratulation to:
Even Skaarer for his 2nd place in Standard and his super performance though out the match
Ralf K. Jensen for his 3rd place shooting with a borrowed gun
